Our CEO on how Coronavirus affects rough sleepers and our services With the new measures in place for social distancing our focus at this time is to ensure we’re providing essential services for our friends experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping. We’re making sure they’re educated about the virus and their health and wellbeing so that we have somewhere safe for them to go during these troubling times. We are following all of the government safeguards as we do everything possible to protect and support them, as well as our volunteers, staff and supporters. We are living in unprecedented times and are already facing many operational challenges, we know our supporters are also under a wide range of pressures but we would be so grateful for any help you can offer us.Financially we are facing a huge challenge as large fundraising events are already being cancelled, funds raised from these events enable us to remain open so that we can give a lifeline to roughsleepers in need.Facebook fundraising, individual online fundraising pages, monthly giving, and other gifts are going to vitally support our work. We also have a small list of items that we currently need on our website please sign up to our mailing list so that we can stay in touch. We know that this virus is affecting all of our lives and sadly the vulnerable are most at risk. We want to thank you for your compassion and willingness to help others in need, we pray you will be safe and blessed, we really can’t continue to do this life changing work in our city without your support.
