Barnabus and Festival Manchester

Festival Manchester is an initiative of the Message Trust, the Luis Palau association and hundreds of local churches, businesses, and organisations. It seeks to reach all aspects of society with the gospel of Jesus.  Through its ‘Love Where U Live’ initiative it is focusing on, fostering and adoption,  the environment, social action, food poverty and, through its partnership with Barnabus - homelessness. COVID19 and the new normal

During this Covid 19 crisis our priority has been referring rough sleepers into Hotels and other accommodation in the City so that they can self-isolate and stay safe, ensuring they receive much needed food, essential items and emotional/mental support. During this time of lockdown we prepared, cooked and delivered over 40,000 meals to vulnerable people and people experiencing homelessness in Manchester. Read more

Church Partnership

It is through partnerships with churches across Manchester and beyond that Barnabus  is able to see its Christian ethos thrive. We would say that everything we do here at Barnabus is inspired by our faith, whether it’s a cup of tea, providing a shower, making an accommodation referral, connecting a guest with the nurse or offering prayer.
