StreetSmart Restaurant Scheme

Streetsmart raises thousands for homeless charities at participating restaurants every year during the winter months in November and December at a time when people begin to think about those less fortunate than themselves. The scheme is incredibly simplistic; a voluntary £1 is added to the table bill and in StreetSmart's experience Customers rarely object, instead they're delighted to have an opportunity to help the homeless over Christmas. Over the past 5 years less than 1% of customers decline to participate; in fact they often request that more than £1 be added to the bill!

StreetSmart was established in 1998, since then they have raised over £4.2 million for the homeless. Over 90 homeless charities in major cities benefit from the campaign. Last year we were blessed to receive £1,200 from this scheme.
