What We Do

Street Outreach

The work of Barnabus began on the streets and we owe the unique spelling of our name to one of our early outreach vehicles, a fully converted double-decker bus. Since then we’ve operated from converted Mercedes Sprinter Vans and still continue to use these in the Red Light District.

Our Beacon Centre is now well known in the city, but not everyone has the confidence to visit. We have small teams that walk the streets taking with them food, blankets and support to befriend, listen and help even the most hard to reach individuals.
